ARTICLE II
PURPOSE
The purpose of the Joliet Archery Club shall be:
1. To foster, expand, and perpetuate the practice of archery.
2. To encourage the use of the bow in hunting of all legal game.
3. To cooperate with the National Field Archery Association, Illinois Archery Association, Field Archery of Illinois, USA Archery, Archery Shooters Association, United Bowhunters of Illinois, and International Bowhunting Organization to provide high quality competitions and further all disciplines of archery.
4. To inculcate the sound principles of conservation (protecting and developing Illinois resources in woods, waters, game, and wildlife - the term 'wildlife' now having the accepted meaning embracing fish, mammals, birds, and the related association of fields, forests, and waters).
5. To prevent waste and destruction of our game, fish, and other species of wildlife.
6. To contribute to the codification and enforcement of game laws and regulations for sanitation and the prevention of pollution of our waters.
7. To further conservation measures of the state.
8. To maintain archery facilities, field courses, 3D courses, and to conduct tournaments in accordance with the rules of the USA Archery, National Field Archery Association, Illinois Target Archery Association, or any other governing bodies as appropriate and wherever practicable.
9. To promote the spirit of good fellowship among archers.
10. To enable teaching the fundamentals of archery to the Joliet Community in a safe, supportive and inclusive environment.
